About

From the provenance of an idea to applying the paint, then letting my piece flow to completion- I enjoy the entire creative process of painting. I like painting different genres; realistic, impressionistic and abstract. I first learned to paint with watercolor and now mostly paint in oil.

My inspiration come from nature, photos I’ve taken, small works painted on location and from other artists. Some of my subject ideas come from the lovely beaches and coastline of Maine. Sandy beaches, rugged coastline and quaint coastal towns, there are so many interesting and beautiful things to paint. Known as the pine tree state, there are just as many deciduous trees, lakes, rivers and wetlands that all make for lovely landscape paintings.
